Going Infinite By Michael Lewis - SBF/FTX

The author, Michael Lewis, had the front row seat of how SBF, FTX and Alameda Research came about and how it all went down.

This book is like a shorter version of what really happened. There could easily be a second part to this book.

It is indeed fascinating to understand how someone went from Zero to Billions of dollars within a few short years. And back to Zero.

The book goes into the details of cryptos, exchanges, securities, etc., but explaining in a layman kind of a way. It also goes into high frequency trading and various trading firms that one usually doesn't hear about in the headlines.

The author starts spending time with Sam Bankman-Fried and company way before it all went down. He could not have predicted how it all will turn out, but if you know his other works, this is in Michael Lewis' forte.

This may not be his best work but comparison to his previous works is also not fair. There are so many things in this book that were interesting to learn.

The author does a good job of indicating if he witnessed something first hand or if it was narrated by someone. I don't think anyone really knew how so much money came about and where it all went. If you are following the news, they are still figuring it out. Some part of the book are really unbelievable, on how many celebrities and investment firms fell for SBF.

It is an easy and a fast read.
